Day 1 Delhi
Arrive Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Meet, assist at the airport and transfer to
your hotel. India's capital & a major
gateway to the country, Delhi is
contemporary and a bustling metropolis which
successfully combines in its fold the
ancient & the modern. Its strategic location
was one of the prime reasons why successive
dynasties chose it as their seat of power.
New Delhi also reflects the legacy the
British left behind. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 2 Agra
This morning after breakfast, proceed for a
full day combined city tour of the old &
modern capital of India. Visit Jama Masjid,
the largest mosque in India. Visit the
massive Red Fort, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat
- the site where ‘Father of the Nation’ -
Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Visit the Qutub
Minar - a 72 meter high monument, and
Humayun’s Tomb built in mid 16th century.
Also visit the Lotus Temple. Drive past
India Gate, the Presidents House,
Safdarjung’s Tomb & the Parliament.
After your sightseeing proceed to Agra (203
kms / 4hrs30mts), Arrive Agra and check into
your Hotel.
Day 3 Agra
This morning after breakfast proceed for a
half day tour of Agra visiting Taj Mahal
(Closed on Fridays). This beautiful monument
was built by Shah Jahan in the loving memory
of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal. Visit
the Agra Fort, where Shah Jahan spent last
days of his life watching the Taj Mahal.
Also visit the mausoleum, Itmad-ud-daulah,
which resembles a silver jewel box.

Day 4 Jaipur
This morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur
(232 kms/5hrs/30 mts) enroute visit Fatehpur
Sikri which literally means “The City of
Victory”. This sandstone city was built by
Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of
his son and was abandoned only after 16
years due to scarcity of water. Arrive
Jaipur and check into your Hotel. Jaipur is
the gateway to the magnificent and vibrant
state of Rajasthan. Evening take a stroll in
the markets of Jaipur for the traditional
dresses and shoes, curio shops, blue pottery
etc. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 5 Jaipur
This morning after breakfast proceed to
Amber Fort which is located at a distance of
11 kilometers from Jaipur. The fort is built
with white marble and red sandstone.
Thereafter proceed for a half day tour of
the “Pink City”, visiting the Maharaja's
Palace which is known as “The City Palace”
and now houses a museum containing rare
manuscripts. Also visit Jantar Mantar the
astronomical observatory built by Jai Singh,
drive past Hawa Mahal – the palace of winds,
its five-storey façade decked with no less
than 593 finely screened windows and
balconies. Also visit the Albert Hall
Museum. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 6 Delhi
This morning after breakfast drive back to
Delhi (252 kms / 5hrs30mts) and check into
your Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for
independent activities. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 7 Overseas
Today you will be transferred to the
International airport to board the flight
for your onward destination. |
