I was last here 65 years ago as a small boy with my mother & father, brother and sister. We used to stop every year before WW-II on the way to Gulmarg for the hot season & Mary Grove’s kindergarten. We wouldride up the hill on little ponies and the syces would run beside us. While living on the houseboat, we would have daily outings in shikara to the Shalimar Moghul Gardens & the swimming boat on the lake. I enjoyed my round of golf at Gulmarg and the walk up the valley from the ruined by impressive snake temple. Here the blissful peace of Paradise reigns.

It is a wonderful fairytale come true! Paradise !... You made us feel like ryals in your lovely Houseboat, with the perfect service, delicious food and beautiful surroundings. I cann’t describe the Garden of Eden with words nor with Fotos – one must experience the peace. The light, the smell, the natural sounds, the lakde, simply warm & friendly Kashmir ….

A very lovely glimpse of a beautiful state. My experience has been amazing & no amount of superbly can do justice to the care & consideration bestowed upon us by Ayub, the wangnoo’s, Khalik and of course by others. The rivers are beautiful& a unique place to come and cast a line. The houseboat is a dream which puts all other hotels in the world in the shadows. Thank you & God bless Kashmir .
